Harry Waller - Director

Founder and Director, Harry Waller, has a background in specialist property and general insurance. Harry saw an opportunity for an expert and niche firm to disrupt the market for specialist home and contents insurance.

Harry explains:

"I believe owners of this type of property are subject to different demands and have different expectations to regular householders. Owners feel a real pride in their homes but also the added responsibility of maintaining their integrity and beauty. It’s about retaining a small piece of British history, if you like."

“Listed, thatched, historic and non-standard properties can be expensive, long-term projects - often described as labours of love. They require specialist materials and trades to maintain their authenticity but financial protection for this isn’t reflected in the terms and clauses of standard insurance policies. Because of this, many homes and investments are exposed to unnecessary risk. The typical profile of owners means that despite a desire to ensure they’re protected, many are time-poor and find it difficult to dedicate the effort to research, understand and identify their needs fully."

"I recognise that not everyone has the interest I do in insurance – particularly when it comes to finding the best available policy for a specific property."

"In short, we founded Listed Property Protection (LPP) to create unique and specialist policies that are sold and supported by expert consultants. Our involvement saves homeowners from doing the legwork and gives them peace of mind that they have the cover that they need. Furthermore, by keeping Listed Property Protection (LPP) niche and focussed, we’re able to offer unrivalled prices and value for money."

Tracey Warren - Senior Consultant LPP

"Having lived in a listed property for many years myself and seen first-hand the problems associated with insuring them, I decided to focus my career on helping owners like myself to obtain the correct insurance, with premiums similar to those charged for modern homes. Every listed homeowner has a different insurance requirement. It quickly became obvious to me that people wanted to spend time talking about their homes and the pleasure they take in living in them. This is my philosophy, which has proven to be very successful, so rather than you filling in quotation forms online, let me collate your details quickly and source your personal requirements for you."

"We have access to one of the largest selections of insurers specialising in listed and period homes. They understand that these properties cannot be treated with the same attitude as modern homes.I have acquired extensive experience of the various types of heritage buildings, the sensitive restoration required and the best way to gain unlimited and enhanced rebuild security should you have concerns about underinsurance matters. I can also assist in matters concerning previous changes made to the property by other owners.”
